In a world where employee engagement has become a cornerstone of organizational success, companies are increasingly searching for experiences that do more and make the people feel more. This year’s Career Day activation at Colgate-Palmolive was designed with exactly that purpose in mind: to create a meaningful, interactive event that encourages employees to explore, connect, and dream about the future.

Together with the CP team, we crafted an activation that went beyond typical career workshops. Instead, we transformed their office environment into a dynamic landscape of cross-department collaboration and personal reflection. With two key components, the Department Speed-Dating and a Future Self Time Capsule, the event delivered a refreshing and human-centered approach to career development.

One of the most exciting elements of the activation was the Department Speed-Dating. This fast-paced, structured communication format allowed employees from different teams to meet, exchange insights, and get a glimpse into the roles and responsibilities that shape the broader CP ecosystem.

For many participants, it was an eye-opening experience.
The quick rotations created an energetic atmosphere, encouraging employees to step outside their usual circles, ask questions, and build understanding across departments. Whether it was Marketing meeting Supply Chain, HR engaging with Finance, or R&D sharing a table with Customer Experience, the conversations flowed naturally.

This activation was strategically crafted to strengthen internal cohesion and encourage employees to envision how their skills may evolve or be applied across different areas of the company.

While the speed-dating sessions brought energy and connection, the Time Capsule activation brought something equally valuable: introspection.

Employees were invited to write messages to their future selves, reflecting on how they see their personal and professional journeys unfolding in the years ahead. Some wrote about career aspirations, others about personal growth, and many expressed hopes for how both they and the company would evolve together.

Each participant placed their personal message into an individual mini-capsule. All these smaller capsules were then collected into one large Time Capsule, sealed with care and intention. This symbolic gesture marked the beginning of a shared commitment: to revisit these visions in the future and celebrate the goals achieved.

The capsule will remain safely stored in the CP offices until the designated opening date. When the moment comes, employees will get to rediscover their words, evaluate their journey, and reflect on how the company and its culture contributed to their growth.

It’s a powerful reminder that a career, it’s an evolving story.
